As I’ve shared with you before I’m very excited because this year I’ll get to experiment my first real Thanksgiving. I keep asking everyone in my new family what is a traditional Turkey Day like and they all get so excited explaining me… it’s very cute!
November is HERE! Crazy right? And with it come Thanksgiving, many Turkey Trots, maybe a Fall race and, of course, setting the intentions for the month.
A few weeks ago I had the opportunity to meet a beautiful young lady with whom I have a lot of things in common. She is super motivated, have clear goals and dreams and when you talk to her it seems like nothing can stop her! After connecting by email we decided to write for each other’s blogs as guests, so here is here story…
Last year while living in Chicago I ran into a girl I went to school with that was in the city just for the summer because her husband was doing an internship there (they live in Houston, TX.). All of you who live in a foreign country know how special is to find someone you know while being in a not-so-familiar place, so this girl and I (her name is Astrid) became really good friends in just a matter of months.
I can’t believe it’s been a month and a half since my last post around here. When I first opened this blog I said to myself that I was going to write at least once a week, but I guess I haven’t been very successful at it. I’ve been so busy lately (not an excuse) so I just wanted to share a little bit of what’s going on around here, my new life and my goals for the rest of 2013.
Sometimes things don’t go as we planned them… A perfect example? I just realized I would not be able to run the Chicago Rock ‘n’ Roll Half Marathon this weekend! I signed up for it after my not-so-great experience at the Proud to Run 10K to use it as a benchmark for a half I want to run in the fall and also to force myself to start running longer.
So, I’m getting married…. Because of that, I decided I was going to go to an eyebrow “specialist” to shape them perfectly for the big day! I’ve never had my eyebrows done in my life so I was kind of nervous and anxious at the beginning.
Happy Hump Day!
I compiled 10 of my favorite running/motivational quotes below… Enjoy!
There is so much information going around about organic, conventional and GMO produce that sometimes it can get a little bit overwhelming. Ideally, we will just buy and eat organic fruits and veggies, but that can get very expensive.
