Italian Dressing

This past Sunday we had friends over for dinner. Bobby wanted to make some steak and salad and, of course, I wanted that to be the stuffing of my arepas!

Usually I use olive oil and vinegar as a dressing for my salads and he uses italian or sometimes caesar dressing. I’m super picky with dressings because, as you may know by now, I don’t like mayo at all…. No, is not because is fattening or bad for you, but because I’ve never EVER enjoyed its flavor! Actually I can barely touch a mayonnaise container, that’s how bad it is. Every time I see a white dressing I skip it without even thinking about it.

Anyhow, this time around Bobby decided to make a homemade italian dressing and it was sooooo good that I had to share the recipe with you!

–       1 1/2 cups olive oil

–       1 cup red wine vinegar

–       4 teaspoons Italian seasoning

–       1 minced garlic clove

–       Sea salt

–       Black pepper

Add all the ingredients in a shaker (salt and pepper to taste) and shake well. Keep in a glass container in the fridge.

This will take you less than a minute to put together and it tastes way better than the one you can get in the store… plus you don’t get any additives!

  1. Homemade dressings always taste so much better! My favorite recipe is similar to this one, but I add a teaspoon of dijon mustard and a teaspoon of local raw honey. Love the jar you are using!
