Three more weeks until marathon #5! How crazy is that? I can’t even explain you how happy I am… I’ve never been soooo looking forward to a race in my life! Not even to Boston!
NY was the first marathon I wanted to run and it took me four years to make that dream come true so I’m SUPER ready!!! This week I had my last crazy long run of 21 miles and I was so happy that my friend Lara joined me throughout the entire run.
It’s incredible how much you can learn from anyone by running three hours together… that’s my favorite part about running with the Savannah Striders!
On another note, this week I’ve been very busy. I started with a new client (I have free spots if anyone is interested… just send me a message in the contact section), I’ve been shooting a lot for the Paula Deen Network, which is always so much fun, training, working, etc. the same old!
Doing yoga for the PDN!
I’ve also been reading a lot about gluten and migraines…. I’ve been suffering from them since I was like 8 and they can get pretty intense (I had 2 this past week) so I think I’m going to give it a shot… Has anyone out there experienced health benefits by cutting out gluten?
Anyhow, this is how my week looked like:
MONDAY: 7 miles @8:33/mile
TUESDAY: IronBodies at the Y
WEDNESDAY: 7 miles @9:27/mile (tempo repeats 5×0.75 mi.) + weights at home
THURSDAY: 7 miles with the girls @9:08/mile
FRIDAY: 7.3 miles biking
SATURDAY: 21 miles with Lara @8:59/mile
TOTAL MILEAGE: 49.3 miles
TOTAL RUNNING MILEAGE: 42 miles
As you can see I had a couple of bad runs and a couple of great runs! Now I’m excited about the tapering and getting this done!
Have a wonderful week CHIC@S!
