Another week has passed and, even though I didn’t get in all the miles I was supposed to run, I prioritized my “options” and got to spend a lot of quality time with my family.
Bobby was out of town the first half of the week so my parents helped me with some work stuff, they came over for dinner, we exercised, went out to eat, etc. They are gone now and that makes me sad but at least we created great memories over the past 3 weeks and that’s something nobody can take away from us.
It’s hard when all your family members live in different countries but I feel that it makes us appreciate more the time we spend together. I’ll see them in November so I have something to look forward to.
So here’s how this week’s training went:
MONDAY: 7 miles @8:37 (2.5 WU + 2 tempo + 2.5 CD)
TUESDAY: Iron Bodies class + 40 min. walk with my mom
WEDNESDAY: 4 miles @9:19/mile + 2 miles and bootcamp @RBR
THURSDAY: Power Yoga
FRIDAY: 4 miles @8:57/mile
SATURDAY: 12 miles @8:48/mi
TOTAL MILEAGE: 29 miles
The strength training class on Tuesday was sooooo hard that I couldn’t run more than 4 miles on Wednesday and Friday because my legs were on fire! I used the foam roller that along with the yoga class helped a lot.
I’m excited to run in a new part of the country this upcoming week! I know already that I’ll probably get in maybe half the mileage that I need but there’s a lot going on for us these upcoming days so I’m mentally prepared… Ready to get back into my real training schedule in September!
