Two more weeks of training, family time and work are behind me.
These past weeks I’ve been focusing a lot on my running and recovery (a.k.a massage, foam rolling, stretching, sleep). I feel my nutrition hasn’t been the best so I’m going to really work hard on that during the rest of the year but especially the upcoming weeks building up to my marathon.
As you know, if you follow me on Instagram and/or Facebook, I eat pretty healthy and love getting creative in the kitchen. Since I burn a lot of calories I usually eat whatever quantities of whatever I want and, even though they are healthy meals, I could be making smarter choices.
These choices are not so much about the foods I’m eating but about the quantities and timing of them… When I come back around here in a week or two I’ll give you an update on this matter.
Yesterday I had my last super long run of this training cycle and I felt pretty strong! This was a confident booster because on my last 20 miler I felt awful and didn’t hold a decent pace.
This upcoming week will be full of training and then the real taper begins… Those are two weeks I look forward to because I get to rest but at the same time I get very anxious and I want to train more… Mmmmm I know I have to be careful, tons of mixed feelings!
