This post will be short but sweet… These past two weeks have been filled with tons of changes in my personal and professional life. It’s all for better so I’m actually very excited for everything that I have coming up after I cross the finish line of the Marine Corps Marathon this Sunday.

As usual, this week leading to the race it’s extremely busy for me. I have doctor appointments, clients, meetings, run club and of course I have to pack. The trip is going to be a long one because it won’t be only for the marathon so I need to be prepared, but I’ll leave all that for later.

Next time I show up around here will be with my race recap… exciting! The last 2 weeks of training are very hard for me. It’s nice to taper and not have that pressure on my shoulders but at the same time I get anxious, I eat more and, sweat less and just want to get done with the race… Mixed emotions!

So here’s how the past 2 weeks of training went:

10/05-10/11

MONDAY: 6 miles @9:19/mile+ Iron Bodies class

TUESDAY: 6 miles @8:47/mile

WEDNESDAY: Pure Barre + 2 miles and bootcamp @RBR

THURSDAY: 5 miles @9:03/mile + 6.5 miles biking

FRIDAY: 3.1 mile walk

SATURDAY: 12 miles @8:24

SUNDAY: Off

TOTAL MILEAGE: 40.6 miles

TOTAL RUNNING MILEAGE: 31 miles

10/12-10/18

MONDAY: 5 miles @9:40/mile + TRX

TUESDAY: 7 miles @8:35/mile (1 mi WU + 6 mi @marathon pace)

WEDNESDAY: 2 miles and bootcamp @RBR

THURSDAY: 6.2 miles @9:00/mile

FRIDAY: Off

SATURDAY: REVCycle

SUNDAY: 8.1 miles @8:50/mile

TOTAL RUNNING MILEAGE: 28.3 miles
