Thanks so much to everyone who participated in the Publix Savannah Women’s Half & 5K giveaway for a $25 Publix gift card!
It was so much fun to read everyone’s pre-workout meals… I’ve got some new ideas from the comments you left on my previous post so thanks for the inspiration!
I was very nervous this morning when I had to line up in the starting line of the YMCA Heart of Savannah 5K. For some reason on bigger races I don’t get nervous at all, but this smaller ones get on my nerves! Maybe is because I feel the pressure that I know I can do well and place on my age group? Or is it because I know that going faster than usual in shorter distances is totally going to wear me out?
Come see me tomorrow at the Smart Women Luncheon & Expo held at the Savannah International Trade & Convention Center. I’ll be at the Publix Savannah Women’s Half Marathon & 5K!
Since last year, I’ve been looking forward to run this race. This is the 3rd edition of the Tunnel To Towers Run in Savannah and I haven’t had the opportunity to do it before because the first year I was living in Chicago and then last year we were traveling for work. Hearing all the stories from my fellow Savannah Striders just made me want to be a part of it!
A few months back Bobby and I got asked to be the captains of the Tunnel To Towers Run in Savannah. We said yes right away because we are always very open to help and give back to our community and the people around us. After doing some research about what this run is really about, we were so moved that it has become a topic of conversation in our daily lives, especially today.
