Another 2 weeks of training in the books, which means that in only 5 weeks I’ll be reunited with my mom running my 6th marathon!
I’m super excited because my mom has never been to any of my marathons and having her by my side will motivate me and give me strength!
These past 2 weeks have been fun. We went to L.A. to see my dear mother-in-law competing on the first night of Dancing With The Stars! We had a blast and if you want to join the fun tune in tomorrow at 8pm EST on abc and don’t forget to vote!
These past 2 weeks have been pretty intense. They’ve been filled with laughs and tears… It’s crazy how life can change in an instant and take away from us people we love. That’s why we need to cherish every second and keep beautiful memories in our minds because that’s the only thing that nobody can take away from us.
On another note, Bobby and I’ve been home hanging out with friends, spending time with his family and cooking a lot.
Another week has passed and, even though I didn’t get in all the miles I was supposed to run, I prioritized my “options” and got to spend a lot of quality time with my family.
Bobby was out of town the first half of the week so my parents helped me with some work stuff, they came over for dinner, we exercised, went out to eat, etc. They are gone now and that makes me sad but at least we created great memories over the past 3 weeks and that’s something nobody can take away from us.
And I’m back!!!
These past weeks have been super busy (in a great way!) between family visiting, traveling and working on some new projects 🙂
What an AMAZING week ends today… These past days were filled with joy, happiness and great accomplishments!

These days have been a bit hectic.
We were in Santa Monica during the week and flew back home on the weekend… While in California I had 2 normal runs and a really bad one.
Long story short, because a condition I have that I’ll share with you later, I’m supposed to be taking flax seed oil. I bought some 1000mg capsules and took the first one on Tuesday… After that everything is history.
After 7 months without doing My Weekly Mileage I decided to come back and share with you my experiences while training for my 6th marathon.
Since I last posted on MWM a lot has happened… We went to Panama and Colombia to visit my family, we got a dog (my sweet little coco Deen),I became a lululemon ambassador, I’ve ran a few half marathons and got a new PR in that distance and I also completed my second Half Ironman.
Last week was a good one… I started by training hard for my next big race and then we decided to go to Albany to visit Bobby’s daddy before the holidays.
I absolutely love going there! The drive is full of cotton fields and tiny little towns that make me feel like I’m on a movie set. We visited only for two nights but we had the best time! We ran errands, went out to eat and made endless fires with pinecones to keep the house warm. I love spending time with Bobby’s dad and his wife…
Last week, as almost every week around here, was pretty busy…
On Tuesday we had the opportunity to go support the YMCA of Coastal Georgia by being the judges of a cookie competition (what a tough job 😉 ) We learned a lot about the organization and hopefully we’ll be helping them a little bit more with their kid’s nutrition system.
It took me almost 2 weeks but here it is!
Five and ¾ days after running the NYC Marathon I ran the Savannah Rock ‘n’ Roll Relay, which actually became a ½ marathon for me. This story doesn’t have a happy ending (spoiler alert!)…
