This race recap is not going to be like previous ones, so I hope you enjoy it because this is going to be long and you’ll probably see a bunch of pictures of me 🙂
Since I moved to the U.S.A almost 5 years ago I wanted to run the NYC Marathon. I tried to sign up back in 2010 but it was too late, so I did Chicago and loved it! I loved it so much that as today I’ve finished 5 marathons in 4 states: Chicago, Savannah, Boston, Savannah and yes, NY!!!
Last week was one of the slowest weeks of my life… Do you know when you are waiting for a specific day and it seems to never arrive?
I feel I can’t remember anything that happened until I lined up at the starting line of the NYC Marathon on Sunday but let me think…
I can’t believe all the hard work is behind me and that I just have 5 days to go until race day!
This week was pretty similar than the past ones: work with clients, dinner with friends, training and no wine drinking … yes, NO drinking! This time I decided I was going to cut alcoholic drinks 2 weeks before race day and I’ve been doing good… I just cheated on Saturday at a Halloween party with one beer!
This was my last “serious” week of training for the NYC Marathon so I wanted to give it all I could…
We had a dinner party at the house that turned into a great evening with friends surrounded by pizza, salad, champagne, beer, wine and more wine!
I’m back on MWM (My Weekly Mileage) to share with you a little bit about last week and how did my training go… I’m very surprised because I believe I’ve been very consistent with my training for the NYC Marathon and I’ve barely skip any of my training sessions!
